There’s a whole bunch of cool things to do in Hanoi from the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long to Hoàn Kiếm Lake. If you have already hit up the main tourist attractions, here are five different things you can try in the city.

Lotte Tower Viewing Deck

The Lotte Tower is one of the tallest buildings of Hanoi. Head to the 65th floor for an awesome viewing deck where you can admire the fantastic city views.

Tai Chi at Hoàn Kiếm Lake

If you head to Hoàn Kiếm Lake early in the morning, you will see locals exercising. Everyone is welcome to join in and you will often see people engaging in tai chi or yoga.

Weekend Night Market

The night market on Hàng Đào Street runs all the way from Hoàn Kiếm Lake. You’ll find all sorts of trinkets, clothes and jewellery, perfect for a non-touristy souvenir.

The Mosaic Wall

The mosaic wall runs for 4km and was built by locals. It’s made up of tiny thousand tiles and is stunningly impressive.

The Huc Bridge at Night

At night, the popular Huc Bridge becomes lit by the lanterns that hang from the trees. It is perhaps even more beautiful at night than it is during the day, but it’s definitely worth doing both.
