New Zealand is the place to go if you want to see incredible mountains, visit famous wineries, and explore Maori culture. Of course, the country has much more to offer, and today we’re talking about some of the most beautiful small towns you can visit.

Akaroa

Akaroa is a resort town located east of Christchurch. It’s known as “the most French” town in the country that will charm you with beautiful historic buildings, amazing food, and a big harbor. The peninsula it’s in was formed by two volcanic cones.

Feilding

Feilding has been voted New Zealand’s Most Beautiful Town 16 times so far. That should absolutely confirm the beauty of this rural town, but there are no major attractions in it, aside from the Coach House Museum’s collection of historic vehicles and carriages.

Hokitika

Hokitika offers a nice ambiance thanks to its natural beauty. The town is located on New Zealand’s west coast and offers beach relaxation, exploring the native species, and shopping for jewelry made from local green stone named pounamu.
