University of Heidelberg, Germany

Heidelberg is a small town in Germany but it’s home to the country’s oldest university. Officially known as the Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg, it was established in the 14th century (1386) and it’s also one of the oldest surviving universities in the world.

University of Salamanca, Spain

The beautiful University of Salamanca was established all the way back to the 12th century. The college campus wows visitors with beautiful architecture that represents classical Spanish design with gorgeous plateresque facades on the buildings.

University of Bologna, Italy

The University of Bologna is officially considered to be the oldest continuously working college in the world. Founded in 1088, it’s known for its impressive age, wonderful architecture (including several Palazzos and buildings built in Gothic and Renaissance style), an impressive botanical garden, and of course, high-quality study programs.
