Old Town

Quito’s Old Town is literally steeped in history, hailed as having the best-preserved historic center in Latin America. Named the first city in the world as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, explore the half-century-old streets lined with incredible architecture. 

Basilica del Voto Nacional

This is the largest neo-Gothic church in the Americas and is definitely worth a visit, even if you are not normally interested in churches. If you are brave enough climb the highest tower to experience incredible views over Quito. Watch out – the route is quite hazardous!

Cable Car Into the Andes

Take the TeleferiQo from a busy city center way up high into the tranquil mountainous Andes. In just 18 minutes you will be transported from a crowded tourist area to an area that is the complete opposite. Nature at its very best.

The Viewpoint El Panecillo

This viewpoint is the midpoint in Quito, dividing the North and South. It is one of the best places to get magnificent views of the mountainous areas and surrounding volcanoes. You can also see a giant Virgin Mary statue.
