If you’ve got a tight connection between your flights, getting to your gate as soon as possible is extremely important. Here’s a couple of tricks you can use to shorten the time it takes to get from one gate to another.

Front Seats

If your layover is extremely short, make sure to book the seats in the front during your first flight. In case you’re sitting in the back, inform one of the flight attendants of your situation and see if they can help you out.

Online Check-In

Don’t waste any time in check-in line by checking in online before reaching the airport, and upload the boarding pass to your phone because it makes everything so much easier.

Traveling Light

Try to pack everything you need inside a carry-on, and you’ll save a lot of time by not checking a bag, especially if you have to pick it up during your layover.

Have a Plan

If you already know your connection is tight, take some time to familiarize yourself with the airport before getting there. Download the airport map, plan the best way to get from one point to another, and see how much time it’s going to take.
