Top 5 Rides at Six Flags Magic Mountain, California

If you are a fan of roller coasters, then Six Flags: Magic Mountain is an absolute must for your bucket list. It has some of the tallest, fastest and most innovative coasters in the world and has won multiple awards for its collection of great rides.

From best to worst, here are our top picks for the biggest and best coasters in the park.

Full Throttle

Full Throttle is one of the park’s newest coasters and it packs one hell of a punch. It kicks off with a fierce launch start before sending you headfirst over a huge loop. About halfway through the ride, the cart comes to a halt and you experience a second launch start, but backwards. The backwards launch and top hat element of the coaster make for a truly unique ride.

X2

X2 is definitely one of the most unique coasters there is. The seats dangle from the side of the track and rotate in the opposite direction to the ride. It’s an extremely thrilling and disorientating experience which makes X2 one of the best coasters in the world.

Superman: Escape From Krypton

Standing at 415 fr tall, the Superman ride at Six Flags: Magic Mountain stands as one of the tallest and fastest in the world. The ride is over very quickly but you get one hell of a rush being shot up and back down the track.

Goliath

Goliath is a huge coaster that lasts for around three minutes. That’s a long time to be dropped and swung through the air on a steel track.

Tatsu

Tatsu is a flying coaster which will have you soaring face down across 3,602 feet of track. At one point, you’ll corkscrew down 104 feet and take a huge pretzel loop. It’s a smooth ride but hella scary.
