Where to Stay

There are many different accommodation options and everyone can choose according to personal preferences, but our tip is to stay around Sultanahmet and Beyoğlu, the two biggest neighborhoods in west Istanbul, so you don’t have to spend money and time on traveling back and forth if you want to see all the major attractions.

Transportation

Although its size can be overwhelming at first, Istanbul is actually pretty easy to get around. It’s best and cheapest to use public transport as it can get you everywhere you need to go. Cabs can get costly and if you’re taking one, be careful not to get ripped off.

Around the City

There are so many things going on in the city at all times that you can surely find free or cheap activities for yourself! Many museums have some specific times when they don’t charge tickets, so definitely use that.
