This Paris Hotel Turned Their Pool into a Restaurant During the Pandemic

Business has been devastating for hotels and restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic and many of them have found creative ways to serve guests. Such is the case with Paris’ Les Bains hotel, which has been closed for six months. Even though the hotel isn’t open for guests overnight, its restaurant, Roxo, is offering guests unique ways to dine.

Prior to being a 5-star hotel, Les Bains was a bathhouse during the 19th century, and the hotel drained the pool to be a spot for guests to enjoy a meal. The hotel unveiled the pool on their Instagram with the caption, “Unveiling one of our unusual dinners…a unique experience in Les Bains Douches legendary pool,” as translated by Insider.

The pool’s set up with a long table that has eight spots for guests and the pool lights provide a romantic ambience.

If dining at a pool isn’t your thing, you can also make reservations at Roxo and enjoy meals at the hotel’s penthouse, in its night club, or in an apartment suite.

“We hope that, in the current circumstances, this Parisian institution will remain more than ever a convivial place of social, artistic and cultural emulation,” said Jean-Pierre Marois, the owner of Les Bains, on the hotel’s website, as translated by Insider.

Reservations for these dining experiences are only available on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. and the hotel is following strict health and safety guidelines.

The hotel is located at 7 Rue du Bourg-l’Abbé 75003 Paris. For more information or to make a reservation, check out Les Bains’ website.
