There’s a unique café in Seoul, South Korea that has been a popular destination for tourists ever since its opening in the summer of 2017.
Café Yeonnam-dong 239-20 (that’s actually its name and address) may look ordinary on the outside, but the inside will play with your perception of reality.
The interior of the café looks like a comic book or a cartoon. The style is kept in even the smallest details like cups and other dishes, not just the main area and furniture.
The designers were inspired by the Korean show W – two worlds in which the main character Oyun Zhu is inside the webcomic and moves between reality and fictional universe. This is the perfect (and arguably the only) place in the world where you can experience life inside a comic book so it’s not surprising that it’s extremely popular with people who visit Seoul.
