These Hot-Air Balloon Festivals are Perfect for Adventure Lovers

Have you always been fascinated with hot-air balloons? Well, now you can attend a hot-air balloon festival where you can jump on them and float off into the sky. If you’re afraid of heights and would prefer to enjoy the hot-air balloons from the ground, you can watch professional fliers soar up into the air or watch them light up the night sky. Here are three festivals to check out this spring and summer.

Homestead-Miami Balloon Festival

Watch about two dozen anchored balloons lit from within, light up the night sky at this speedway located in Homestead, Florida. You can book a tethered ride or reserve a private float when you purchase your ticket. While on the ground, enjoy the local food vendors or have a picnic dinner. The event runs from Match 26-28 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets start at $25 per carload of people.

Winthrop Balloon Roundup

This event which takes place in the morning from March 7-9 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in Winthrop, Washington is free! Early risers can watch professional fliers drift above the snow-capped peaks of the North Cascades. In the afternoon, take advantage of the cross-country ski and biking trails.

Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival

What’s better than balloon riding? Balloon riding and wine tasting! This weeklong event in Winchester, California, takes place from May 21-23, and tickets start at $35 for adults with children under 12 being free. There will be over 200 arts and crafts vendors and a balloon glow set to music. Enjoy tethered or untethered rides in the mornings.
