These are the Most Expensive Cities in the World to Visit

There are so many amazing places to see in the world, but unfortunately, some are not as budget-friendly as others. Keep that in mind if you want to go visit these places.

Switzerland

As a whole, Switzerland is a very expensive country to visit. This is because they tax everyone, locals and tourists, a lot, for everything from goods to train fares and more. If you are looking to go to Zurich, Geneva, or any other major city, just be aware that you could be paying upwards of $700 per night at a hotel, so look for cheaper accommodation.

San Francisco, California

California is another expensive overall state to visit, but San Francisco is one of the most expensive cities in it. Food and hotels can be very pricy, and if you want to rent or take your car over the famous Golden Gate Bridge, prepare to pay a toll of at least $7 each way, which might not seem a lot, but is annoying just to get across.

Tel Aviv, Israel

Tel Aviv is actually a more expensive city to live in than Los Angeles, and even just visiting you’ll get hit with some crazy expenses. If you want to go out for a beer, you’ll be paying upwards of $8, unless you go for a 2-for-1 happy hour.
