We all love traveling, and if some of us had our way, we’d be navigating the world every other weekend. However, there’s an obvious reason why we can’t do this, in addition to real-world responsibilities. The fact of the matter is, traveling can be insanely expensive. But if you follow these tips, you can actually enjoy an exciting adventure without feeling like you’re breaking the bank.

Hostels

The first thing we’d like to suggest is to forget about hotels. Sure, hotels can be great and all, but they’re also pretty darn expensive, and not the most budget-friendly option. If you’re traveling alone, or with a close friend, and you’re trying to save money, a hostel is a great option. They’re usually dirt cheap, and you’ll meet all kinds of cool people there.

Public Transit

Public transit is another way you can guarantee that you’ll save money on your trip. Oftentimes we’re tempted to either rent a car or order an Uber. We do this because we think taking a train will be too complicated—but it’s actually a lot simpler than you think.

Shop at Markets

Finally, the best thing you can do that’ll help you save money while traveling is to shop at local markets. This will be considerably cheaper than eating out all of the time.
