]]> 2020 has been a difficult year for travel. With a pandemic slowing down or even paralyzing our ability to travel in most parts of the planet, it’s completely normal if you are missing traveling and chomping at the bit to visit a new destination.

While it might not be the same as actually going somewhere, having a virtual travel night at home can be a nice way to ease away your cravings and have a lot of fun! Here are some tips for putting it together.

Virtual Visits on Your TV

Why not look for a virtual visit on YouTube or whatever destination you want to visit’s website and put it on your TV as the base for your virtual travel night? This will help set the mood and trick your brain into thinking you’re somewhere else!

Regional Food

Immerse yourself in the country you’ve selected to virtually travel to by preparing a dinner featuring that country’s top cuisine! A simple Google search will provide you will all kinds of tasty recipes, no matter where you want to “go,” that can be made in the comfort of your kitchen.

Regional Music

Set the mood as you eat and hang out with your family members by picking up a vinyl or downloading MP3s of music that comes from the country that you have chosen to visit. It’s amazing how sound can transport us to a different place, and playing music is a great way to do so.

While it might not be the same as actually going somewhere, having a virtual travel night at home can be a nice way to ease away your cravings and have a lot of fun! Here are some tips for putting it together.

Virtual Visits on Your TV

Why not look for a virtual visit on YouTube or whatever destination you want to visit’s website and put it on your TV as the base for your virtual travel night? This will help set the mood and trick your brain into thinking you’re somewhere else!

Regional Food

Immerse yourself in the country you’ve selected to virtually travel to by preparing a dinner featuring that country’s top cuisine! A simple Google search will provide you will all kinds of tasty recipes, no matter where you want to “go,” that can be made in the comfort of your kitchen.

Regional Music

Set the mood as you eat and hang out with your family members by picking up a vinyl or downloading MP3s of music that comes from the country that you have chosen to visit. It’s amazing how sound can transport us to a different place, and playing music is a great way to do so.
