]]>When everyone’s an adult, no one wants to feel like they’ve been left out of the planning process. Although it can be sensible to have one person booking everything, so they have access to all of the documents, let everyone share ideas about where they’d like to go and what they’d like to do. Depending on how long you have, you could agree on a country and then spend some time staying together and some time apart.
It will be in everyone’s interests to choose accommodation that will enable you to have your own space, as well as a communal area where you can hang out together. Even if it’s a small shed in the garden of the Airbnb, make sure that you’re not forced to be on top of each other all holiday long, as this will breed resentment.
Unless you’re only away for a weekend break, it may be worth booking yourself one or two nights alone away from the family. This can help reset, in case tensions have built up, and will also let you enjoy and appreciate the company of your family more. If you’re worried they’ll be hurt by your time away, explain that there’s something you’d really like to see tied to your interests in a nearby town or area, which they won’t be as interested in as you.
Vacationing with your family as an adult can be great fun, but it is worth planning well to ensure everyone has the best time.

]]>This beautiful town is only 20 miles north of Rome, so it can make a great weekend base if you need a break from the city. As well as the famous gardens, there are stunning streets to explore, amazing restaurants and great play parks for the kids to enjoy themselves in.
This is a great place to enjoy small town life, and all the wonders of the beach. Levanto is connected to the rest of the province of Liguria through a great train system, meaning you can explore other areas with the kids with ease. There is a fantastic beach and plenty of green space for them to run around in, whilst you admire the views and the delicious wines on offer.
While you take in the stunning scenery and unbelievable architecture, the kids can enjoy swimming in the calm waters and tucking into artisanal gelato. Amalfi is a buzzing, friendly place, and whilst there are some upmarket cafes and restaurants you’ll find plenty that welcome children too.
Italy is a wonderful country to explore with kids, so head to one of these towns and start discovering this incredible country.

]]>Run by Seaworld and right by Tampa, Adventure island has lots of awesome slides and rides. On the four-lane Riptide slide, you can even race your friends or family down to the bottom. This park is closed in the winter, but that still leaves you seven months out of the year to check out their VR snorkeling and much more.
At the huge LEGOLAND Florida resort, the waterpark is one of the main attractions with lots of Lego-themed rides and slides. That makes it especially good for younger kids, who can play in the interactive play area or, if they’re a little older, build their own raft to ride on.
Run by Walt Disney World in Bay Lake near Orlando, this waterpark has a VERY unique (and possibly counterintuitive) theme: ski lodge! You can rent a private “polar patio” (much like a private lodge) and go down one of the biggest body slides in the world, Summit Plummet.

]]>Located on Paradise Island this 141-acre water park transports you into a fantasy world built like the lost city of Atlantis. There are water slides themed on Mayan pyramids and jungles, a lazy river, and swimming pools.
Not far from Aquaventure Water Park is Pirates of Nassau Museum, which has replica pirate ships and the history of pirates including “Black” Sam Bellamy and “Blackbeard” Edward Teach and their woman counterparts like Anne Bonny and Mary Read.
Atlantis Paradise Island hosts Sea Squirts, which is a one-hour program designed for children ages three to six years old. During the interactive marine program, kids will participate in marine activities and they can hand-feed fish and baby stingrays. They’ll go home with a keepsake swim shirt.
