There are two kinds of travelers: the kind that books a round-trip flight because they know they want to come back; and the kind that books a one-way ticket because they have no idea where their trip is going to take them. So which one are you? If you’re unsure, here are a few reasons you may want to consider booking an open-ended ticket.

You Don’t Want the Pressure

If you’re about to go on a trip but you hate the idea of pressuring yourself to rush back, perhaps you should book a one-way ticket. Hey, you never know—maybe you’ll stay there a full year!

You Have Time on Your Hands

Most of the time the reason people book round-trip tickets is because they have obligations back home. They have a job, they have a family, you get the idea. If you have nothing that’s really keeping you tied down, an open-ended trip might be ideal for you.

Money is No Object

A big elephant in the room is that traveling is also dang expensive, making open-ended trips not ideal. But if money is no object for you and you have no responsibilities back home, perhaps you’re the perfect candidate for an open-ended trip.
