Although traveling should be your time to relax and only do things that make you happy, many of us turn the holiday into a nerve-racking and stressful experience. People often aren’t eating, drinking water nor taking care of themselves. To avoid anxiety and stress while traveling, follow these great self-care tips:

Press “Pause”

When getting into your hotel room, press “pause” and relax a bit. Lay on the bed, take a snooze, listen to your favorite music, take a bath or meditate, whichever you want, it’s your choice. It will calm your mind and body and recharge your batteries.

Unpack and Organize

A messy hotel room can be disastrous to your nerves. It is much more relaxing to see a clean and organized room, isn’t it? So, if you don’t want to fall over your suitcase in the middle of the night, put your stuff away as soon as possible.

Have a Stretch

After a long flight, car/bus or train travel, your body can feel quite stiff and sometimes painful, as well. If you know yoga, great! Do a couple of poses to awaken your muscles. However, if you haven’t mastered this lifesaving discipline, no worries! A stretch or two will also do the job.

Stock up the Fridge

Stocking up your fridge can be very helpful if you tend to get hungry in the middle of the night or early in the morning.
