Scotland Has Some Cute Quirks

What do you really know about Scotland? Scotland is a somewhat curious place, so here are some things to expect if you decide to travel there.

Monsters

You’ve heard of the legendary Loch Ness Monster, known as Nessie, but did you know that she has a cousin called Morag, who lives in the lake Morar? Legend says he has been seen 34 times so far! Who knows, maybe you will be the lucky one who sees spots him for the 35th time.

Aliens

Scotland is so popular with tourists that even aliens come to visit, with more than 300 people annually reporting the sight of UFOs. Bonnybridge, a tiny village in the north, is considered the aliens’ favorite destination.

Islands

The Scots can proudly say that they have 790 islands. You might be surprised that they only inhabit 99 of them, so the island’s real-estate business is kind of a big deal.

Blue Lights

After installing blue lights on Glasgow’s streets, research has shown that the number of crimes in the city has significantly decreased. This might be due to the fact that people associate the blue color with the police and tend to be more careful.
