When finding a new place to live or a place to travel it’s all about location, location, location. But when you are traveling on a budget then sometimes it’s hard to book a room close to town or close to the main attractions at a reasonable cost.

However, You don’t have to compromise on your vacation, even if you have to spend a little less. A frugal traveler tip is to book a room near a public park or scenic destination, but still be a bus ride away from the closest town. This allows you to enjoy all the city has to offer while enjoying natural landscape the area (and at times nicer lodging conditions).

Travelers often enjoy their vacation more if they feel less pressure to be frugal in their day-to-day activities. Spending less on your room could allow you to take that boat ride or have dinner at that restaurant you always dreamed about.

Staying in a countryside bed and breakfast or small inn can also give you better insight into what the locals enjoy doing. Also when you stay in a smaller town it makes the meeting and talking with other people easier while traveling alone.
