Once again, World Travel Awards named Saint Lucia the “World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination”. This is the third consecutive year and the 12th time in total that this Caribbean country has won this award.
World Travel Awards is the most prestigious awards program in the travel industry. it’s recognized by tourism professionals worldwide and voted by many of them. The awards reward leaders in tourism, hotel, airline, and hospitality sectors.
The Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, home to volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts, and fishing villages, is not just a perfect honeymoon destination. It was also nominated in three other categories: World’s Leading Island Destination, World’s Leading Wedding Destination, and World’s Most Romantic Destination 2020. This puts it at the very top of the travel destinations for couples, no matter the occasion.
“Saint Lucia’s internationally acclaimed status is what we strive for daily in our strategic marketing and promotion efforts,” said the country’s tourism minister Dominic Fedee. He added that being nominated once again is an honor for Saint Lucia and a sincere reflection of their culture and the people who work in the tourism industry.
