Are you looking forward to a long-distance getaway, but don’t have a valid passport. Don’t fret! There are tons of tropical destinations that you can visit that have warmer weather, picturesque beaches, and unique culture, that Americans don’t need a passport to visit. Here are three overseas destinations you can visit without a passport.

United States Virgin Islands

The U.S. Virgin Islands are made up of three main islands—St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John, as well as some smaller isles. Each of the islands is super unique with St. John known for its national parkland and diving, St. Thomas for its shopping and cruise terminals, and St. Croix for its lux honeymoon spots.

Puerto Rico

One of the easiest Caribbean destinations to visit for east coasters, Puerto Rico also has inexpensive airfare and low-cost carriers. This U.S. territory has an exciting mix of landscapes with beaches, mountains, waterfalls, and the El Yunque tropical rainforest.

Guam

In addition to being a major U.S. military, navy, coast guard, and air force site, the U.S. island territory has major historical significance. Guam is also known for its beaches and seas which are ideal for diving and snorkeling. Don’t miss Two Lovers Point, a cliff-side lookout that has some of the most amazing views.
