Getting a garment bag is a great idea if you often travel with formalwear. The garment bag will protect suits and dresses from creasing and wrinkling even if you fold them into a suitcase. If it is a one-time opportunity, consider using a plastic dry-cleaning bag. They will produce a similar effect to garment bags if you put some effort into proper folding.
Use Tissue Paper
Tissue paper is an efficient and cost-free way to stop your formalwear from developing creases and wrinkles. Simply layer the tissue paper onto the clothes when you fold them and then create layers when packing the clothes on top of each other.
