People come to stay in hostels from all over the world, so don’t be shy! Get to know the people who are in your room or other rooms in the hostel and strike up conversation. This is great for making connections and for creating even more memories while you travel.
Linens
While you’re traveling, you probably don’t want to carry around all your linens. However, keep a pillowcase with you is a way to make the hostel more comfortable and personal, and a pillowcase can do just that. It takes up almost no space in your luggage, and while you travel, you can stuff clothes or layers in there to make a makeshift pillow on plains, buses, and trains!

If the hostel you’re staying at, check out the bar! Not only will you meet people staying there, but also locals who work there, which is a fantastic way to get more in tune with the place you’re staying.
