Everyone should do a road trip, either solo, with their significant other, or friends, at least once. Road trips are really unique because it really gives meaning to the saying “it’s not just the destination, it’s the journey.” When you go on a road trip, you’re exposed to so many new places you might have never seen before, so pack up the car and hit the road!

Where to Start

With a road trip, it’s best to have the end in mind. Wherever you want to end up, whether it be a national park, a big city, or something else, should be your starting point. From there, calculate how long it will take you without stopping much, how much time you can be traveling for, and then how many days you can allot for stopping at places along the way.

In a journey like the one we are doing, there are many things that amaze and that will remain forever in our hearts. One of these is definitely the view of the sunset in the Grand Canyon 😍 Finding the viewpoint from where this picture was taken was not easy, and without the help of the owners of @sheridanhouseinn (B&B where we stayed in Williams for our visit to the GC) would have been impossible. Indeed, it was they who suggested this place, the "Shoshone Point" for the sunset time; a place that you won't find marked on any map of the park and that you can find on Google Maps only if you know what to look for. It took a nice walk to get there, but the view we found was worth another 100 of those walks ❤ . . . #VisitArizona #Arizona #GrandCanyon #VisitCalifornia #Williams #GrandCanyonSunset #USA #canonusa #beautifuldestinations #bestview #hello_rooftops #citybestview #wonderful_places #earthpix #nature #sunset #bestplacestogo #speechlessplaces #livingdestination #travelanddestination #destinationearth #earthfocus #earthofficial #awesomeearth #travelawesome #poraccibs

Accommodation

If you want to do a road trip but don’t have the funds to stay at Air BnBs or hotels along the way, there are other options! Couch surfing is a website that connects you to people that will let you stay in their homes for free, and you can also do programs like WWOOF, which is where you trade your labor on a farm for free lodging and sometimes food!
