It’s never fun to be on vacation and stumble upon a rainy day. But, luckily, there’s still so much to do in a place like Chicago even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Visit the Art Institute

The Art Institute of Chicago is a massive museum located near the famous Millenium Park and the Bean. The museum was actually built in order to house the art being made by the students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, but now has some of the most famous works of art like American Gothic.

Garfield Park Conservatory

The Garfield Park Conservatory isn’t really a park, but it is a beautiful indoor botanical garden! Although there are things to do outside as well, spending a few hours inside the many sections of the greenhouse will certainly keep you entertained and amazed. Plus, the entrance is donation based so it won’t empty your wallet while you’re there!

Deep Dish

You really shouldn’t go to Chicago without getting deep dish, and what better excuse than a rainy day to sit and enjoy it? There are so many great places to get deep dish in Chicago, but one of the best ones to go to where you’ll find a lot of locals is Pequod’s Pizza.
