Ice Cream Legend, Made in Nice

Fenocchio is a family-created, family-run ice cream parlor that was opened in Nice’s old town in 1966. The place is renowned for its massive collection of flavors, with 59 ice creams and 35 sorbets. The Fenocchio flavors are actually developed in their ice cream lab in La Gaude, where they also keep a shop, but the original Nice location is where you should go.

So what are all these flavors? The flavors include traditional ones like chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio, as well as contemporary tastes like walnut, salted butter caramel, pecan and maple, coffee, and cookies. They also have innovative flavors with some really unusual ideas, which include avocado, rose, olive, and even something called “spice bread.”

The sorbet flavors focus on fruit, where you can find the more traditional like strawberry, lemon, and mint, and more out-there flavors like cactus sorbet, tomato-basil sorbet, and finally the truly legendary beer sorbet.
