How to Travel When It’s Your Time of the Month

If you have a trip you’ve planned long in advance, there’s no way of knowing whether you’ll be on your period or not during that time. But, no matter how severe or light your period is, there’s always ways to make sure you stay comfortable while you’re traveling.

Clothing

If you know that your period is coming up or might happen during your trip, make sure to bring clothes you are comfortable in. If that means stretchier pants or flowy dresses, go for it! Your comfort is paramount especially when you’re feeling physically uncomfortable.

Protection

Make sure that you’re packing enough tampons, pads, or whatever type of protection you use. A great alternative to those is a menstrual cup, which not only saves you money but not having to purchase those products but also takes up much less space in your luggage.

Pills

Another essential item to bring with you, especially when you’re on your period is pain killers. If you get cramps or other ailments during your period, make sure you take care of your body. Alternatively, you can always make your own heating bag for body aches by heating up a hand towel with hot water.
