Fiestas
Mexico has a thing for parties and the Yucatán region is no exception. It’s a good idea to visit during carnival season (late February or early March) if you want to catch the celebrations. The days of the carnival make the city bursting with life and it’s probably the best time to go to Progreso.
Promenade
Progreso’s promenade is called Malecon and it’s the perfect place for enjoying the sea view. It’s amazing for a slow stroll during the day or in the evening. During the weekends, you can enjoy the local musicians and watch people dance on the street.
Beach
You don’t want to miss the beach when in Progreso. There are many different activities you can do here, from beach sports to kiteboarding or simply resting on the sunbed. Progreso is a great destination for a beach vacation.
