Google Maps tool is one of traveler’s best friends. Its navigation feature ensures you never get lost no matter what part of the world you find yourself in while helping you find your way to tourist attractions or discover new bars and restaurants.

On top of that, Google Maps has plenty of other additional features that can make your travels way more convenient. Check them out below.

Offline Maps

Some places you visit might not offer a great internet connection, or you might simply lose your cell signal and find yourself online. In this case, the Offline Maps feature can be a lifesaver. Simply tap on your profile photo, select Offline Maps, click on Select your own map, and choose the area you want to save as an offline map. After it downloads, you will be able to use it anytime without the need to be connected to the internet.

Live View

The default view of Google Maps can sometimes be confusing when you’re walking, causing you to take wrong turns. To make it more straightforward, use the Live View feature, which will provide visual directions in real-time. Choose your destination, tap on Directions, switch the mode to Walking, and then tap the Live View icon in the bottom center to launch it.

Time Travel

Every passionate traveler will appreciate this one. With the Time Travel feature, you can see how particular streets and locations looked in the past. It will be displayed to you in Street View mode so you can compare how things changed between then and the present.
