When you arrive at the island of Lefkada, you will really not believe your eyes. The Castle of Agia Mavra is a fortress that was built to protect the island from invaders back in the 14 century. Though it has been renovated a few times, it is still stunning and also boasts a lovely church called the Chuch of Agia Mavra.
If you love the great outdoors but don’t want to be far away from the gorgeous water of the island, Nidri Waterfalls is just the place for you. The waterfall is located near the village with the same name, Nidri, and you only need to hike for 30 minutes before you find it! Also, at the bottom of the waterfall is a great lake where you can swim, and there is no doubt you’ll be impressed by these waters as well.
