First comes love, then comes marriage—and before the baby in the baby carriage, new brides and grooms typically jet off to an exotic location for their honeymoon to bask in newly wedded bliss. Today, however, we have a new spin on this sequence of events, throwing a wrench into traditions regarding weddings and honeymoons.

Nowadays, “earlymoons,” or honeymoons prior to the actual wedding ceremony, are trending globally, especially with household names and other tastemakers influencing the masses.

The trend blew up with Pippa Middleton’s earlymoon to St. Barts prior to her May 2017 wedding. Likewise, DJ/beauty entrepreneur Hannah Bronfman made a pit stop with her fiance at a wellness center in Spain prior to their nuptials at the 5-star La Mamounia in Marrakech, Morocco.

Proponents of earlymoons enjoy a minute to sit back and relax in the midst of the stress caused by the inevitable highs and lows of wedding planning, which we think is well deserved and rather strategic and luxe at the same time.
