As we are in the depths of winter, you might be thinking about going on a trip and getting away from work or other obligations. Packing in winter is generally tougher than it is in summer, as you need more layers and more clothes.

It is easy to get overwhelmed at times and make mistakes when packing especially in winter. Check out these tips which will help you avoid those problems.

Too Many Coats

One cardinal sin that many people make when packing in wintertime is stuffing too many coats in a suitcase, which ends up taking up a crazy amount of space. Try to stick to one or two coats that fit with every outfit that you have taken with you.

Not Enough Socks

While it is easy to pack too many coats, lots of people end up forgetting about generously taking socks with them in winter. It is easy to “ruin” a pair of socks for the day by getting them wet or stepping in snow, and you might even want to double-sock if temperatures are really low.

Don’t Forget Winter Accessories

Another thing that people sometimes forget when packing for winter trips are winter accessories that will help you stave off the cold weather. A hat or two, a scarf, and gloves or mittens are essential when it comes to winter travel.
