Check It Out: Vietnam’s Intriguing Buddhist Water Slide Park

Suoi Tien Cultural Theme Park is a truly unique water slide park South of Ho Chi Minh City. As far as we are away, it is the first and only theme park in the world to be dedicated to Buddhism.

To give you a picture of what a Buddhist theme park means, think of Disney Land. Instead of Mickey Mouse and Goofy running around in costume, picture golden monkeys and Phoenix statues.

The park includes a spectacular Buddha shrine and Buddhist sages with water slides coming out of their beards. If you are someone who struggles to pay attention in a museum, the park is a fun way to learn a little bit about Vietnamese Buddhist culture while having a fun and action-packed day out.

Other park highlights include a pond filled with live crocodiles. There is a Palace of Unicorns which contains a haunted house and there is a charming boat ride around the island.

The park is built on an impressive scale and will easily fill an afternoon. You can find out more here.
