Best Ways to Put a Long Layover to Some Good Use

Long layovers can be excruciating because you’ll feel stuck in one place with nowhere to go. There’s nothing quite like being stranded at an airport for hours without anything to do, but you can always find a way to fill this time with something fun and useful.

Explore a New City

If your layover is so long that you have enough time to leave the airport, explore a new city, come back and still make it to your flight – that’s exactly what you should do. This adventure requires a lot of planning in advance, but you can pull it off if you put your mind to it.

Do Some Shopping

If your layover isn’t long enough to actually leave the airport, there’s still a lot you can explore on its premises. Buy something for your loved ones at one of many duty-free stores, and have a coffee or a meal at one of many airport restaurants.

Catch Up

Use your layover time to do something you were supposed to be doing before or after your flight. Do some work, answer your emails, call up your friends or family, watch new episodes of your favorite show or keep reading a book you brought along instead of just sitting around and waiting for your next flight.
