Kings Park and Botanic Garden is one of Perth’s top attractions—and for a very good reason. There are many different kinds of experiences that you can immerse in during your visit, and here are a few reasons why you shouldn’t miss this landmark while in Western Australia’s largest city.

The first reason to visit Kings Park is the most obvious—it’s home to a large botanic garden, with 2,000 species of Western Australian flora on display. It’s also heaven on Earth for bird lovers because it’s home to around 80 bird species.

Kings Park is known for being home to several memorials and an impressive collection of public artwork. The high double helix staircase known as DNA Tower is one of its most striking landmarks.

Kings Park covers an enormous area of 990 acres, and you can find countless walking trails on its premises. You can even attend guided walking tours of the monuments and memorials, bushland paths, and the botanic garden.

Kings Park overlooks Swan River and it offers some of the most scenic views in the entire city. You can take amazing panoramic photos of Perth from the park’s many amazing lookouts.
