Andrew and Emily Travel Along Dusty Roads

Andrew and Emily are a traveling/photographing duo that started working together in 2014. “Twelve months later we were on a one-way flight to Mexico with several cameras, a couple of laptops and enough money to last two years (and two very large backpacks packed to cover literally every eventuality!),” their website reads.

Their mission is to travel slowly, to fall in love with every place they visit instead of just skimming through the most popular tourist attractions.

They share their adventures on their blog and Instagram page Along Dusty Road, so make sure to stop by and check it out!

Hello Instagram, it's been a while! ___ Since we last spoke, we've fallen in love with Sevilla, popped back to London and then high-tailed it up to bonnie Scotland for a few days of family time and exploring sights that had been on Andrew's doorstep for years, but he only found out about and visited this weekend. Today however has seen us huddled up back at our flat in London dreaming of that beautiful break in Sevilla whilst editing some of our favourite shots. You will be seeing A LOT more of the city over the next week (trust us, it's so pretty that you won't get bored), but we wanted to start with this little number from the unique Plaza de España. It's probably the most tourist-famous sight in Sevilla, and we totally understand why. ___ In other news, we had also had a massive blog win last month, with our highest ever monthly traffic. 248,000 page views to be precise! Ruddy. Bloody. Hell. Thanks to all you lovely people who enjoy reading about our travels and planning your own with our articles! What was your win (personal, travel, professional) for January? #TheConstantlyCurious #Sevilla ___ #seville #sevillahoy #sevillagram #girlswhotravel #sheisnotlost #wearetravelgirls #dametraveler #womenwhoexplore #shewhowanders #femmetravel #passionpassport #girlsborntotravel #lifewelltravelled #theglobewanderer #travelandlife #cntaveler #mytinyatlas #tlpicks #welivetoexplore #darlingescapes #dametraveler #theprettycities #postcardplaces #ladiesgoneglobal #finditliveit #darlingescapes #ig_spain #igersspain

The stairs of Matera. ___ We have just finished packing for tomorrow's week-long trip to southern Italy – and as we're going hand luggage only, you can imagine that causes a little more stress than we'd like. However, we are slowly but surely getting better at this packing lark, and somehow managed to only have one argument over what to bring, and what to leave behind. We're exploring Puglia on a project with @bookings_for_you and we're so excited to be able to discover the places we couldn't show you last time we were in the region – Lecce, Monopoli and, hopefully, some gorgeous little Italian towns which we don't even know the name of yet. Going back to a place which left such a wonderful impression the first time around isn't without risk – what if it feels different and changes the positive impression we have? But we've got a little feeling Puglia's not going to disappoint! And for the Italy experts amongst you, we know that Matera isn't in Puglia…but it's impossible to skip if you're visiting this part of Italy. #TheConstantlyCurious #Matera ___ #IlikeItaly #Italymagazine #instagramitalia #exploretocreate #theprettycities #theculturetrip #theglobewanderer #passionpassport #mytinyatlas #lifewelltravelled #letsgoeverywhere #topeurophoto #travelingtheworld #postcardplaces #sheisnotlost #girlsborntotravel #ladiesgoneglobal #femmetravel #shewhowanders #womenwhoexplore #girlslovetravel #dametraveler #wearetravelgirls #livetotraveltraveltolive #wheretonext #materainside #flashesofdelight #notjustavilla

Hike ____ We hike with boots and backpacks. Sweat drips down our brows and stings our eyes. The early morning rise brings us birdsong and backaches. Pebbles and stones crunch beneath as we follow the trails forged through centuries of footprints. A drop of water tastes as sweet as nectar at the peak. The sun grows hotter as the air grows thinner. You try to fight the altitude with attitude. Shoulders sting from sodden scratchy straps and the your lips are cracked with salty spit. The minutes and hours of walking seem pointless on their own, but come together to create memories, strengthen resolve, obliterate long-held fears, or widen that smile on your face which you only experience in a foreign land. Beauty you have to work for is more enchanting than when it comes easy. The trail is long, but life is short. Walk it. For there will come a day when you can walk no more except in memory, and the paths roamed in your head will never fade away. We walked the Inca Trail with @GAdventures, who specialise in small-group adventure travel all over the world, and for whom we are proud members of their Wanderers team #Sponsored #GWanderers #TheConstantlyCurious #TravelDustyPeru ____ #GAdventures #IncaTrail #perutravels #visitperu #discoverperu #iloveperu #exploremore #suitcasetravels #weloveadventures #peoplewhoadventure #welivetoexplore #wildernessculture #passionpassport #exploremore #thegreatoutdoors #nextstopnature #adventureculture #lifeofadventure #getoutstayout #seeyououtthere #goneoutdoors #eclecticshots #thediscoverer #folkscenery #theoutbound #mytinyatlas

Tayrona ____ One of our biggest regrets from our previous time in Colombia was our inability to make it to Tayrona; the heady mix of peak January holiday season and an expensive dusty road adventure in La Guajira a few days previously, meant a trip there just wasn't on the cards. Fast forward a few years, and whilst our overall itinerary may have changed more often than our underwear (in Andrew's case, it undoubtedly changed more than he changed his underwear, but that's for another story), Tayrona was the destination on our Colombia must-visit list which never faltered. This iconic place has become synonymous with a well-planned trip to Colombia; pictures of its pale sandy beaches and 'that' hammock hut adorning covers of countless guide books and travel brochures. We should have loved it. Had we visited four years ago, perhaps we would have. Of course, we're not suggesting it be scrapped from your own itinerary, or that you shouldn't feel excited for this little trip into the jungle – but perhaps temper those expectations a little (and absolutely do not go for just a day trip). The beaches really are beautiful, and even the worst night's sleep in a hammock will be forgiven, just a tad, on a still morning walk before the crowds arrive. #TheConstantlyCurious #Colombia #Tayrona ____ #suticasetravels #freshairclub #palepalmcollective #lightzine #thewildnesstonic #goexplore #searchwandercollect #vitaminsea #postcardplaces #folkscenery #passionpassport #mytinyatlas #whatisee #peoplewhoadventure #folktravel #roamtheplanet #modernoutdoors #forgeyourownpath #thediscoverer #anotherescape #inspiringwanderers #colombiatravel #visitsouthamerica #discoversouthamerica #mydomainetravels #exploreobserveshare #wanderoften

End ____ And then, just like that, it was over. Four and a half months backpacking through South America gone in the blink of the eye. Mountain adventures and Caribbean paradises, beautiful colonial towns and indigenous villages, daily adventures that will long be remembered, and a confirmation that this part of the world will long hold a piece of our heart. We've had the chance to re-visit places we loved, places we knew needed a second chance, as well as add a whole host of new destinations we can't wait to tell you all about – both in photos and words. We have shared with you some of the realities of travel here – the great and the not so great – and hopefully changed some perspectives too. We leave with a longer list of places that we need to return to, and a deeper understanding of what makes Ecuador, Peru and Colombia so wonderfully special. And so, for now, this is not goodbye. This is hasta luego. #TheConstantlyCurious ____ #colombiatravel #suitcasetravels #searchwandercollect #postcardplaces #folktravel #speechlessplaces  #mydomainetravels #anotherescape #exploreobserveshare #stayandwander #thebestescapes #inspiringwanderers #youmustsee #traveltheworld #openmyworld #wanderoften #darlingescapes #IamATraveler #discoversouthamerica #visitsouthamerica #dametraveler #globelletravels #girlsthatwander #thetravelwomen #womenwhoexplore #thetravelwomen #wearetravelladies #nomadgirls #travelgirlsgo
