Packing is one of the most stressful parts of a trip. No matter how hard we try, we always struggle to fit everything in our suitcases and we find ourselves overpacking. And when it comes time to return home from our vacation, we don’t have enough room for all of the things we bought. If you’re looking for some tips on how to finally stop overpacking, we’ve got you covered.

Plan an Outfit for Each Day

Look at your itinerary and plan out an outfit for each day you’re vacationing. You’ll have a clearer idea of what you’ll actually end up wearing, instead of packing a bunch of things that will just end up sitting in your suitcase.

Pack Items That Match

When packing, pack things that are in neutral colors so you can mix and match your tops and bottoms. Try and pack items that you can wear with at least two other pieces.

Do Laundry

If you’re staying in a rental with a laundry machine and it’s free, use it. Also, if you’re hotel has a laundry service and it’s cheap, take advantage of it. You can also hand-wash clothing, especially your underwear and socks.
