France boasts a wonderful variety of landscapes, terrain, and culture. It is also saturated in history, standing in the middle of most of Europe’s most momentous moments. You can enjoy all of this by living a free life in one of these three campsites, located all over the country.
Le Ranolien, Brittany
Located in the west of France, on the northerly coast, is the magical region of Brittany. This campsite is to be found near a variety of beaches, rocky crags, and caves. One of the caves was used by the Germans in World War II and still bears the marks of a spitfire’s bullets.
Les Péneyrals, Dordogne
This amazing campsite has waterslides, four swimming pools, and live music entertainment in the evenings. It is also only 10 km away from the famous prehistoric Lascaux cave containing the images of ancient bison. This cave is world-famous for being one of the oldest recorded artworks in human history.
Lavender Farm, Provence
There are few things as relaxing on this earth than taking it easy on a Provençal lavender farm. Just sit back and soak in the sun, bird song, and luscious smells of this divine region.
