Have you seen the price of airline tickets these days? You almost need to sell a kidney to afford one, which is why we’re flying economy. Cheaper, of course, almost always means less comfortable, but it doesn’t have to be. Here’s how to get a decent sleep while flying economy.

Choose the Right Seat

If you can, opt for a window seat. Not only does it provide a wall that you can lean against to get some shut-eye, but you can also avoid having to move every time your neighbor decides to get up. Plus, you can pull down the window shades whenever you want.

Dress Comfortably

Being comfortable on a plane starts way before checking in. Make sure that you’re dressed the part by wearing loose-fitting clothing made from breathable fabrics. Leave the tight jeans and restrictive shoes for another day.

Travel Accessories

A neck pillow may seem like an obvious accessory to bring, but you’d be surprised how many obvious things skip our minds. Pack your neck pillow, an eye mask, and noise-canceling headphones to create a more sleep-friendly environment. And remember, the pillow actually goes on the front of your neck.
