Let’s be real: most of us in our twenties aren’t rolling in cash. That, however, doesn’t mean you can’t take a vacation to spots with the universal allure that transcends time. Don’t wait too long! Here are a few places to entice your wanderlust that won’t break the bank:

Hoi An, Vietnam

To most, it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Hoi An offers within-budget homestays, family-owned hotels, and hostels that can cost as little as $4 per night. Imagine floating down the river past local artisans, colorful lanterns, and marveling at the historic temples and pagodas.

Budapest, Hungary

Budapest is rich in history and abundant nightlife. The metro system makes it easy to explore its many sights, from Turkish baths to ancient buildings, including Matthias Church or Buda Castle. There are plenty of low-budget hotels and lodgings. Don’t forget the city’s most famous “ruin bars” that operate in its ancient ruins.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is the European rite of passage. While it has gone through severe changes in the past 20 years, it still maintains its old-world charm. Cheap beers, epic nights, and memories will last forever. Prague has an excellent tram, metro, and bus system if you’re looking to get around. That being said, the city is pretty much walkable!
