Fishing is one of the most popular outdoor sports and hobbies in the world. Most people go fishing in order to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. It can be very therapeutic and a great way to be alone, but it can also be an excellent way to connect with your friends, family, and nature.
Now, for the most part, fishing is usually calm and uneventful but just one wrong step is needed to cause a hilarious sequence of events and create a story that will be told for generations. Sometimes, some of them even get captured on camera and remain documented forever on the wastelands of the internet.

We managed to collect the best moments and put them in one place so you don't have to waste time looking. Let's check them out.
Giraffe Fishing
Fishing on the back of a giraffe is something very few people thought of. But this guy is way ahead of his competition. While others are stuck in uncomfortable boats and canoes, this guy is chilling on an inflatable giraffe.

We know this one is very cushy, but imagine if this was a real animal. Can giraffes even swim? Their long neck surely helps them keep their head above the water. Giraffe fishing would definitely be an interesting sport to watch.
Seize the Opportunity
It is very important to be an optimist in life. In addition to being happy and positive, optimists know how to take advantage of any situation. And this man is the very definition of it.

Where others see a hole in the ground, he sees an opportunity to catch fish. When life gives you lemons, you squeeze a lemonade, go fishing and chill. Even if you are 100 miles away from the sea and the only way you can do it is by using a pothole.
The River Monster
Nature is filled with nightmarish creatures. And most of them lurk underwater. This is actually a photo of Jeremy Wade, a professional fisherman, and host of TV show River Monsters. He caught this Goliath Tiger Fish in the Congo River in Africa.
The fish is over 6 feet long and weighs over 150 pounds. The big, sharp teeth suggest it is a carnivore. Reports say that it also attacked several unsuspecting humans that stayed in the river more than they should.

The fish is a terrifying sight indeed. Hopefully, none of us will encounter it in our lifetime.
He's a Perfect Catch
This bride-to-be shows that when it comes to fishing, you don't need to dress for the occasion. You just need a fishing rod, some bait and you're good to go. You can even be in your wedding dress and no one will care.

Unless this photo hides something more sinister. Maybe she dressed like this and is trying to bait a man, catching the perfect guy to marry. Or perhaps she was in the middle of a wedding when her groom decided to run away. Now she's trying to reel him back in. Whatever the case may be, it is an interesting photo for sure.
Using Fingers
You have to congratulate this girl. She is such a skilled fisherwoman that she managed to get this fish using nothing but her bare hands. We assume that most of her male colleagues are jealous as they can't catch something similar even with a rod.

She should, however, not pose for too long as there is a possibility the fish is still alive. If that's the case, this is an accident waiting to happen.
The Future of Fishing
People bring ingenuity to new levels and this guy may be the ultimate winner. He's using a truck that is parked on the beach to throw a bait in and catch some fish. It may look weird, but it's actually brilliant.

You are not in the water. You are not on it either. You are not close to other fishermen. And you can extend the crane to get a better reach. This is definitely the future of fishing if you ask us.
