]]>Observation Point
If you want to get a breathtaking view of the whole park, then the Observation Point hike is the one you have to do. The trail is quite strenuous as you have to hike all the way to the top of a cliff. A round trip along the 8-mile long trail should take about 4-6 hours. Bring lots of water for this one, as you don’t want to get dehydrated.
Angels Landing
This is the most well-trafficked hiking spot in the park. This is another physically demanding hike, as you must hike to the narrow ridge known as Angels Landing, and then with the assistance of a metal fence, hoist yourself to the very top. The trail is 5.4 miles long and can take up to 6 hours to complete.
The Subway
For the hiker that also likes a touch of canyoneering, this is the hike for you. Typically, you start at the beginning of the canyon and rappel yourself down the canyon into the water below. You will need to wade through the water as a part of the hike, which is why this is one you do in the summer months. The views are worth the cold dip. The trail is 10 miles long, and this is an all-day hike.

If you’re wondering which of the 4 states has control of the monument, the answer is actually none! There are 6 governments that have jurisdiction here, the 4 states along with the Ute Tribe and the Navajo Nation who administer the monument itself.
There are plenty of outdoor adventures to do in the area, including, camping, horseback riding, and hiking. In addition, it’s a great place to learn about the Native American way of life and their history. This unique monument is open year-round, so come take a picture and say you were in 4 states at one time!

The biggest Zoo in the state, this beautiful place spans over 42 acres at the start of the Emigration Canyon. The zoo is home to more than 800 animals and 250 different species!
The Living Planet Aquarium
A great place to visit, especially with kids! This stunning aquarium hosts local water species, but also species from the world oceans and from South America.

jellies, eels, and a whole world of fish 
. . We laughed at the memory of finding dozens of sea stars 
right before Crew fell into the tide pool in his clothes and then had to eat dinner at a Fijian restaurant in his undies. . As we walked through the South America exhibit we remembered the huge scarlet macaws 
squawking and eating in the trees at our pool in Costa Rica and monkeys at the beach jumping from limb to limb. . We remembered almost stepping on Portuguese man-o-wars on the beach in Hawaii! . And walking down a rocky jetty in Australia and discovering colorful starfish 
conservation area! . In Taiwan we remembered finding puffer fish washed ashore on the beaches. . And most recently I remember holding Crew’s hand in the water as we snorkeled right on top of a huge sea turtle 
in Hawaii. . These memories, and more, came flooding back as we walked among some of the amazing creatures of the earth. We are blessed to live among them and need to strive to care for this beautiful world we share! . Tell us one thing you’re doing to give back to our planet.
