The post How to Avoid Crowds as a Tourist in the UK appeared first on Traveler Master.
]]>Visiting prime beauty spots in the UK off season (September through to April) is a great way to ensure that you’re not hiking or sunbathing alongside a crowd. However, if you’d like to experience these places during the spring and summer months, another useful tip is to arrive early in the morning or towards the late afternoon. Many popular hill walks and beaches are most crowded between 11am through to 5pm, so taking advantage of beauty spots outside of these times is a great way to get close to nature.
While certain sections of the UK’s coastline and countryside can become incredibly crowded during the summer (hotspots include Cornwall, Devon, the Lake District and the Norfolk coastline), other areas remain relatively empty. If you’re prepared for some bracing winds, then the North East coastline is particularly stunning and relatively empty. Areas around North Wales and parts of North Scotland are also comparatively quiet.
If you’re determined to visit the really busy beauty spots during the high season, it’s worth coming prepared for the crowds. Bring a sunshade so that you can stake a claim to a particular section of beach or countryside, and it’s also worth bringing food in case cafes and food stands sell out. If you’re intent on swimming in the sea, it may be worth waiting until 5pm when many beachgoers will start leaving for home.

]]>Most of the Scilly islands are small enough for you to be able to see the sea at all points around you. This creates a wonderful awareness of being out at sea on an island, and makes for some truly stunning views. Try and head to the Scilly islands off-season (March – May or September – November) so that you can enjoy these beautiful islands without the tourists crowds in the summer.
Many people who visit the Scilly Isles return convinced that these small islands host some of the best beaches in the UK. The gentle climate means that the waters are incredibly warm, and plenty of the beaches are almost empty of people during the off-season months.
Due to the proximity to the sea, most of the island cuisine centres around fish and freshly caught seafood. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants spread out across the islands where you will be able to enjoy traditional fish and chips, as well as more novel meals including lobster scampi and swordfish sushi.

]]>Always check the weather before embarking on your trip. Even if your holiday is taking place in the summer, the weather could change rapidly and that’s why you should consider packing at least one warmer piece of clothing.
Shoes tend to take up a lot of room in your suitcase, so you shouldn’t go overboard when packing them. Travel in your comfy sneakers, and pack a pair of sandals or slippers that go well with every outfit in your suitcase.
Paying extra for a big suitcase is a waste of money when it comes to your summer trips. Summer clothes are so light you can easily fit them inside your carry-on and you can even wash them on the go because they’ll dry quickly.
If there’s one thing that you can go overboard when it comes to summer packing, it’s your bathing suits. They barely take up any space, and you should bring along at least two so you wouldn’t have to worry if they’ll have enough time to get dry.

Banff offers something from skiing and snowboarding to snowshoeing and ice skating. The Rocky Mountains in Colorado, USA, or Whistler in Canada are also great destinations during winter. For those looking for a more cultural experience, the Christmas markets in Germany and Austria are a must-visit.
As the tulips start to bloom, Amsterdam comes to life with its charming canals, colorful houses, and lively atmosphere. Take a bike ride through the city’s beautiful parks, visit the famous Keukenhof gardens, and indulge in delicious Dutch treats like stroopwafels and bitterballen. Japan is also known for its beautiful cherry blossoms, and the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in Tokyo is the perfect place to witness them.
With its picturesque white and blue buildings overlooking the Aegean Sea, Santorini is the ultimate summer destination. Soak up the sun on the island’s stunning beaches, explore its ancient ruins, and indulge in the delicious local cuisine and wine. The Mediterranean coast is a popular destination for those who want to soak up the sun and relax on the beach. Croatia, Greece, and Spain are all great options for beach lovers. If you’re looking for adventure, head to Costa Rica for surfing or Bali for some epic snorkeling.
As the leaves start to change colors, New England offers a stunning display of nature’s beauty. Take a road trip through the region’s charming small towns, hike through its picturesque forests, and indulge in the local apple cider and pumpkin spice treats. Other destinations to explore during fall include Quebec City in Canada, which is known for its beautiful architecture and charming streets.

With an average of 300 days of sunshine per year, Málaga in Spain is one of the best sunny destinations in the world. This city has a rich cultural heritage, which means that there are many places to explore while enjoying a pleasant subtropical Mediterranean climate.
Much like most exotic islands, Canary Islands have a mild and very pleasant climate and even during the coldest month temperature won’t go below 62°F.
Anyone who wants to enjoy high temperatures all year round would love living in Dubai because this city has a hot desert climate. Summers here are extremely hot with temperatures exceeding 109 °F but the winter season is very pleasant and actually perfect for the beach.

]]>Many countries have already begun setting up systems in which fully vaccinated travelers will be able to cross into their borders from abroad. This benefits travelers from places like the United States, the UK, and Chile, where nearly half of the population has been vaccinated against the disease.
However, it might cause problems for people who want to travel from other countries where vaccinations have gone more slowly. Keep waiting for your chance to get the jab if you haven’t been lucky enough to do so yet, as this could open a mountain of possibilities.
While some countries are looking at this idea for vaccinated travelers, there are others that aren’t even taking vaccination status into consideration for travelers. Mexico is a good example. While this might be an easier option, keep in mind that you will need to take extra precautions while heading to countries like these.
Be sure to keep a close eye on internet sources and news reports to see what restrictions and what possibilities will open up over the next few months. Our long travel nightmare might soon be coming to a close!

]]>Many of us find ourselves looking to get away from the cold and dark, and the Southern Hemisphere is a great place to do so. Here are three destinations in this hemisphere that you should consider.
Sydney enjoys some of its best weather of the year in winter, and you’ll find plenty to do in this Australian destination. From the Opera House to strolling along Bondi Beach, Sydney is just about the best Southern Hemisphere destination that you’ll encounter.
My top destination in South Africa is, without a doubt, Cape Town. Located in the shadow of Table Mountain, which features a cable car that takes you to the top, you will have a great time enjoying the best of this multicultural city in the Southern Hemisphere’s summer.
Looking to visit a destination a little more remote and off-the-beaten path? Easter Island is a great option for Southern Hemisphere summers. Here, you can appreciate the famous Moai carved heads as well as a huge variety of archeological sites related to the natives that once inhabited this Pacific island.

Even in July, you’ll find that the temperatures are mostly in the low 70’s, and at night it really gets chilly. However, make sure you still put on sunblock because even though it’s not very warm, the sun can catch you very easily!
States like Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont can have some warm days, but they are known for being pretty chilly and rainy for most of the summer. These states are amazing to visit for gorgeous lakes and hikes through forests, but you will definitely to pack more for the fall and less for summer.
Chicago is the perfect place to be in the summer. There is the beautiful Lake Michigan, so many museums and buildings to look at, and most of the summer will not be hotter than 80 degrees. However, it does get cool at night and when it rains its pretty chilly, so bring a sweater!

]]>Here are the sunniest major cities in Europe so you can start planning your next vacation.
Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, is the sunniest place in Europe. It’s capital city of Nicosia enjoys more than 3,330 hours of sunshine per year. It’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the island’s beaches, too!
Number 2 on the list is yet another Mediterranean island capital. Valletta, the gorgeous capital of Malta, receives just over 3,000 hours of sunlight annually. You won’t have to worry about taking an umbrella while exploring its history and beautiful architecture.
One of the world’s oldest cities is also one of Europe’s sunniest. The Greek capital of Athens has an infinite number of places to see and neighborhoods to explore. Pack sunscreen if you travel there!
The first non-capital city on the list is Marseille, France’s second-biggest city. Also located on the Mediterranean, Marseille’s Vieux Port area is one of the most picturesque fishing ports on Earth.
