As autumn arrives and summer becomes but a memory, we can still enjoy the beautiful outdoors and rhythmic waves by visiting these top bodyboarding locations.

Bodyboarding is like surfing but you lie on the board. It’s not dangerous and is a relaxing and calm way to enjoy the outdoors.

If this sounds like your idea of fun, here are 4 of the best bodyboarding spots in the world.

Canggu, Bali, Indonesia

The soft intermediate waves and warm waters of Canggu are perfect for bodyboarding. The site has recently built a café and a center where you can hire boards and take surfing lessons.

Goldcoast, Queensland, Austalia

This Australian coastline offers 70 kilometers of sun-kissed beaches and soft white sands. The best locations for bodyboarding are The Rainbow Bay and Duranbah as they have the calmest waters.

Fistral, England

Located in England’s south-west region Cornwall, Fistral is the home of British surfing. There is a great mix of calm waters and adrenal boarding at times, and the site offers an International Surfing Center.

Hoddevik, Norway

The rugged coastline of Norway is perfect for surfing and is practically empty. We now know that surfing in colder climates is more than possible, and can in fact help strengthen the immune system and improve blood circulation.

When you go canyoning through the dark and hidden recesses of the world, it is important that you have the right items. Canyoning is hiking, abseiling, swimming, free jumping, and climbing through the world’s canyons. If you’re not sufficiently prepared, you could be in for a bad time.

Here are 5 essential items that you need to go canyoning.

Trainers

The first thing you need is a good strong pair of trainers. It is important that you have light footwear that also has a good grip. The best trainers will also be water-resistant and quick drying.

Swimwear and Wetsuits

You will need to have a wetsuit as you are most probably going to get wet. Even if you are supplied with a wetsuit, it is a good idea to also wear a bathing suit underneath, especially if you are canyoning somewhere cold.

Head Protection

You’re going to be doing a lot of jumping off ledges into rivers and climbing up rocks, so its a good idea to have a hardhat on.

Spare Clothes

If you’re going canyoning, you’re going to get tremendously wet and muddy. Its best if you can bring a spare pair of shoes as well as a change of clothes.

If you’re a thrill-seeking adventurer who likes a challenge, you need to try out these top extreme hiking trails in the world. While they can get pretty hairy at times, it is worth it for the sense of satisfaction, achievement, and at oneness with the world that you get upon completion.

The West Coast Trail, Vancouver Island

Located off the southwest coast of Canada, Vancouver Island is well known for the West Coast Trail. This is a 46-mile hiking adventure that will have you rambling along ancient paths, steep slopes, and rugged trails. You will need to be prepared to climb many steep rickety wooden ladders, so if heights aren’t you’re thing this could be difficult.

The Maze Overlook Trail, Canyonlands National Park

This trail in southeast Utah is an extremely challenging trail. Hikers will have to navigate their way around mazes of burning orange tunnels, smooth rock faces, and tight crevices. Not only is the trail intensely difficult, but the temperature can often rise above 38c and there are no water sources. It’s certainly not for the faint-hearted!

Mount Huashan, China

This trail dangles hikers 600m from the ground along flimsy-looking wooden paths bolted on to the side of a cliff. If heights aren’t your thing, this one is probably not for you.

While fans might not be allowed in the stands at baseball games for now, there’s one place where fans of the game can attend even in 2020: the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York.

Inaugurated in 1936 in a small town of under 2,000 people in upstate New York, around four hours from both NYC and Boston, there is no greater place on Earth to explore the history of America’s national pastime than this museum.

Featuring memorabilia from the history of the league, dating back to the late 19th century and extending to the present day, you’ll see all kinds of interesting baseball artifacts at the Hall of Fame. From Hank Aaron’s 715th home run uniform to the glove used to make “The Catch” by Giants outfielder Willie Mays, the number of historical baseball things you’ll find here is unprecedented.

Despite a nearly four-month postponement, the Major League Baseball season in the United States finally got underway last month.
