]]>Just like most other cities, Seattle gets expensive and crowded in the summer. To save money, pick an early spring or fall date for your visit. You’ll be able to find cheaper flights, cheaper accommodation, and probably cheaper admission tickets for most tourist attractions.
Downtown Seattle draws the most tourists, so staying is usually expensive, no matter the season. You are better off booking accommodation in some other part of the city and then using cheap public transportation to get where you want to go.
If you are looking to check out all of Seattle’s most famous tourist attractions, like the Museum of Pop Culture or Space Needle, then you should definitely consider purchasing Seattle CityPass. The pass will allow you to save on admission fees while also bringing you several other perks.
The best way to drink in Seattle on a budget is to look for happy hours. You’ll easily find them through designated apps or by simply looking for front signs. Also, you might want to skip restaurants and instead rely on street food, which is affordable, filling, and tasty.

]]>Contrary to popular belief, this is actually the second Starbucks location. The first Starbucks café opened its doors at 2000 Western Avenue in 1971, before moving to 1912 Pike Place in 1976—the location that’s now commonly referred to as the Original Starbucks.
What separates the Pike Place location from every other Starbucks in the world is its retro design. Almost half a century after its founding, this café still looks the same way as it did on the first day, and still features the original floor, fixtures, and counters.
Located near the Pike Place Market, this spot is a must-see for anyone who can’t resist the rich smell of coffee. It’s open every day between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, but get ready to wait in a long line if you want to get a Starbucks cup with your name on it because this location is always packed with tourists.

]]>Gehry has created and designed works all over the world. If you are a fan of these works, check out these buildings, three of his most decorated and famous creations.
Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum is one of the most striking and eye-catching buildings that Gehry has ever created. Featuring broad, swooping curves and clad in titanium, it’s a building that’s absolutely fitting for a museum of contemporary art.
Located on the banks of the Vltava River in Prague is the Dancing House, one of Gehry’s most controversial projects. Opened in 1992, this slanted, angular building contrasts sharply with the Gothic and Baroque architectural styles found throughout the city. It is, without a doubt, a work of art.
Adjacent to the Space Needle in Seattle is the Museum of Pop Culture, a building that was designed by Gehry and opened in 2000. The Canadian architect designed a chaotic, modern building that, in his own words, was inspired by a smashed electric guitar. It’s definitely eye-catching.

]]>Gum Wall was conceived during the ‘90s when patrons of the local Market Theater started sticking gum to the walls. It grew into true work of collective art over the years, and one of the most unexpected tourist spots in the city.
Chewing gum is often seen as a bad habit, but this wall presents it in a new light – as something that connects people who never met each other and probably have nothing in common. Chewing gums don’t look like much on their own, but the Gum Wall proves something truly fascinating can happen when they come together.
Back in 2015, the wall was steam cleaned and scraped for the first time in 20 years. This process lasted for three days, but locals and tourists flocked right after it was over and started recreating it by adding new gum, creating another piece of collective art together.

]]>The Fremont Troll is an 18-ft troll located underneath an overpass in Fremont. Four local artists collaborated to improve the area.
This tiny waterfall makes the birthplace of UPS. It’s a manmade fall which offers a quiet spot to escape the city and offers a bit of business history for those who are interested.
The Official Bad Art Museum of Bad Art is located in Cafe Racer. Instead of bigging up the artists, the museum celebrates art that is, well, bad.
Located in Chinatown is a couple’s personal collection of 54 pinball machines. Visitors can admire the machines and can play them for free after paying the $15 admission price.
A museum for all those interested in overly big shoewear. And a museum for those looking for something a little different to your standard “national history” gallery.
