Snow is not a common sight in this country, and the indoor ski slope has evergreen trees and Austrian chalets to make you feel like you are in the Alps. The longest run is 1,312 feet and there is even a snow park where children can have snowball fights and build a snowman as an activity not commonly experienced in that part of the world.
Manchester is no stranger to winter weather, but being that the tallest mountain in England is less than 1,000 meters (3,000 feet) tall, there aren’t many opportunities to ski in the country. In addition to different levels of slopes, there are many other snow activities including a Slip ‘N’ Slide and climbing wall.

Manchester became famous for the cotton industry during the Industrial Revolution, manufacturing items like thread and usable material and fabric.
It’s so important to see Manchester and experience how much the city has provided for western civilization, but its also a unique and beautiful city on its own that is definitely worth a visit.
You can’t go to Manchester without visiting the Museum of Science and Industry. This is a great museum for people of all ages, even people who don’t like museums. It shows all the scientific and technological advanced Manchester has made, and it is really fascinating to see things up close and personal. Best of all, admission is free!
The John Ryland Library is a 119-year-old neo-Gothic style library that will truly take your breath away. It really looks like a castle or a cathedral both on the outside and on the inside, and definitely should not be missed, especially for bibliophiles. The building is quite large, and as you wander through small corridors and up and down staircases, it’s easy to spend a lot of time enjoying getting lost in the library.
Another beautiful building is an old Victorian fish market turned artisan market called the Manchester Craft and Design Centre. There you will find studios and stalls of local artists selling their products, and there is even a cafe inside! The center also hosts different events and performances.
If you’re more into indie items but still made locally, Affleck’s is probably more of your style. Inside a more traditional looking building, you can find anything from jewelry and clothing to more kinky items. The vendors provide a very different kind of atmosphere that suits a lot of peoples needs.
For a space that’s more peaceful and serene yet still in the city center of Manchester, head over to St. Michael’s Flags and Angel Meadow Park. The church on the grounds was originally built in the late 18th century and the area where the park is was once actually a barren suburb until it became part of the city during the Industrial Revolution.
England is super well known for Indian food, so while you’re there you can’t miss out on one of the most famous restaurants, Mughli. This authentic restaurant is focused on North Indian and Pakistani Mughlai food, so you know every dish is going to be fantastic.
English people love to party, so if you want a really nice club night, you have to check out Tiger Tiger Manchester. This club has a little something for everyone; karaoke, different themed rooms, and all sorts of music to fit your mood and your style.
Though you wouldn’t expect it, the nightlife Revolucion de Cuba is one of Manchester’s best clubs. The joint is a huge Latin celebration from the music, to the dancers, and even serves tapas as well. The club has two huge floors perfect for dancing and letting loose.
