As the saying goes, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Given the many casinos, nightclubs, and other recreational activities going on in the city, it’s understandable why so many people swear by this phrase. Still, as important as it is to build the right itinerary, so too is staying at the right hotel as this will set the mood for your trip. Here are some of the best Las Vegas hotels for your next trip to Sin City.

Bellagio Las Vegas

Everything in Las Vegas, Nevada, is designed with the intention to encourage you to spend as much money as possible. However, that doesn’t mean it is impossible to save some money during your visit to Sin City. You only need to know how.

Eat at All-You-Can-Eat Buffets

All-you-can-eat buffets in Las Vegas offer great value for money. You will pay a lot less than you would at a restaurant while being able to have a filling meal and try out all sorts of unique dishes.

Get Free Drinks at Casinos

Most casinos will offer players complimentary drinks to keep them inside. Even if you don’t gamble, you should take advantage of this. Find a free slot machine near the bar and toss in a dollar or two, but don’t start playing. Instead, get the attention of the server, order your drink, and wait until you get one to start playing. If you are patient enough, you can probably get one more drink out of that session.

Hunt for Cheap Tickets

There are various ways you can get cheap tickets for Las Vegas shows. One of them is to search for them on Groupon, where you can get up to a significant discount compared to the original price. Also, if you are willing to wait until the last minute, Tix4Vegas booths offer tickets with a 50% discount on shows that haven’t been sold out.

Don’t Gamble (Too Much)

It is fine if you want to play a few slot machines or try your luck on roulette. However, resisting to gamble will save you much more money in Las Vegas than anything else. There is so much to do here that gambling isn’t just a waste of money but also a waste of your time.

If you thought that a trip to the grocery store was a mundane activity, Las Vegas wants to change your mind. The Nevada capital is home to a grocery store that is an outrageous psychedelic experience.

Called Omega Mart, the site is an art installation at the AREA 15 arts complex. Designed around the concept of a grocery store, it comes from the trippy minds of Meow Wolf who also brought us New Mexico’s House of Eternal Return.

The first space which visitors enter resembles your ordinary supermarket. Except, instead of finding tuna and orange juice on the shelves, they are laden with items like dehydrated water, emergency clams (you never know), and an energy drink named Wake Up Please! Most of the products are available to buy as souvenirs.

From there, it is an excursion behind the scenes with a labyrinth maze. This section is titled Dramcorp, after the fictionalized company which owns Omega Mart.

Going even further behind the scenes, visitors will then encounter a multi-level playground called the Factory where the products in Omega Mart are supposedly manufactured.

The final stop is the Projected Desert, a video-projected artwork that transforms from a “high-desert box canyon into a vibrant and serene immersion of psychedelic realms and transcendent interiors.”

As an entirely immersive experience, guests are able to wander down hidden passages and portals, and even have a drink at the Datamosh Bar.

The journey through Omega Mart will set you back $49, or $45 for children, seniors, and members of the military.

Las Vegas is one of the most fun cities in America and possibly the world, where you can indulge in all of the partying, casinos, and excess that your heart desires, plus some really great shows and a surprisingly high number of exotic animals. But it’s also an easy place to get yourself into trouble, so here are some tips that will help you stay safe next time you go to Vegas.

Watch Your Pockets

With the combination of lots of cash and hapless tourists from around the world, Las Vegas is a pickpocket’s favorite spot. So be vigilant and careful about where you keep your wallet, and have an eye on your belongings at all times. As long as you don’t look like an easy target, you won’t be one, so look alive.

Stay in Touch

While you’re in Vegas, it’s a good idea to always keep your phone on you, make sure your friends know your whereabouts, and stay in contact.

Trust Your Gut

There’s no shortage of shady stuff going on in Vegas, so stay alert and trust your instincts. If you end up in an area with lots of broken street lights, boarded-up houses, and broken glass on the streets, it’s a good idea to head out.

Las Vegas, Nevada, is known around the world for gambling, shopping, entertainment, fine dining, and nightlife. While many people visit the City of Lights for these reasons, there are so many secret spots you have to check out. There are tons of hidden gems that you can visit and some of them won’t cost you a thing. Here are three of our favorites.

The Proposal Balcony at Tiffany & Co.

Located at The Shops at Crystals in CityCenter, is the two-level Tiffany & Co. If you’re planning on proposing with a Tiffany ring, call ahead to use their private proposal balcony. We can’t think of a better way to pop the question than while in The Marriage Capital of the World.

Akhob, an Immersive Art Installation in the Shops at Crystals

Another store at The Shops at Crystals, the Louis Vuitton store, and it has the Akhob. The Akhob is a permanent immersive art exhibition by James Turrell named after an ancient Egyptian word meaning “pure water”. There are two rooms with slowly changing colors, altering your perception of time and space.

The Underground Speakeasy at the Mob Museum

Most tourists know about the Mob Museum but what they don’t know about is the basement which has an underground speakeasy. Ring a bell and give a password to enter the museum’s Prohibition-era bar and working distillery. They have their own moonshine, which is found in cocktails like the Moonshine Mayhem.

Any trip to Las Vegas isn’t complete without spending time at the slot machines, by the pool, and eating delicious food. The most famous restaurants in Sin City are the monstrous hotel buffets on the Strip, but there are plenty of other, better places to get your grub on. Check out these Las Vegas eateries that you cannot skip!

Bazaar Meat

Famed Spanish chef Jose Andres opened Bazaar Meat in Las Vegas in the Sahara Hotel in 2014, and it has quickly gained a reputation as one of the best steakhouses in the country. Small plates are king here, and meats are the star of the show.

Carson Kitchen

You’ll find Carson Kitchen, one of the chicest casual Las Vegas eateries, in the heart of downtown. Here, good vibes are key. Playful interpretations of American classics are the start of the show at this restaurant which often features live music on its outdoor patio.

Raku

The best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas is Raku, without a doubt. Food prepared Robatayaki style is the order of the day at this classic joint on Spring Mountain Road in an unassuming strip mall that you would never assume is the home to one of the city’s top eateries.

Las Vegas, Nevada has something for everyone—there’s gambling, celebrity chef restaurants, shopping, and tons of entertainment. With so much to do, figuring out what’s worth your time and money on can be overwhelming and it’s easy to fall victim to tourist traps. Here are three mistakes to avoid next time you visit Sin City.

Betting on Games You’ve Never Played

When in the gambling capital of the U.S. it’s easy to get lost in the excitement and bet on games you’ve never played before. Make sure you bet on ones you know as well as ones that are fun. Keep in mind you’ll probably lose money.

Not Tipping

Tipping is a given, but in Vegas, it can mean the difference between an okay night and one to remember. Be sure to tip bartenders, valets, and cocktail servers and chances are they’ll know about ways to get sold-out tickets or fun events happening around the city.

Sleeping on Downtown

There’s more to Sin City than the Strip and downtown Vegas shouldn’t be missed. There are 12 casinos and you’ll be able to get more value for your money at restaurants and bars.

The Las Vegas Strip Isn’t in Las Vegas

While it’s called the Las Vegas Strip, the 4.2 mile stretch known for its resort hotels and casinos isn’t actually in Las Vegas. It’s south of the city in the towns of Paradise and Winchester.

There are About 150,000 Hotels

Due to the amount of tourists, there are about 150,000 Las Vegas hotel. Now that’s a lot of options!

Las Vegas Casinos Swap Competing Casino Chips

Most Las Vegas casinos will accept their competitors casino chips, which only happens in Nevada.

You Can Get Married Almost Anywhere

It turns out you can tie the knot almost anywhere in Vegas. Even breakfast food chain diner Denny’s has a wedding package that includes a wedding officiant, use of the diner’s chapel, a Champagne toast, two breakfasts, and a pancake wedding cake.

You Won’t Find Lottery Tickets

While Vegas is the self-proclaimed Gambling Capital of the World, you won’t find Powerball or scratch tickets as they’re prohibited in Nevada.

Las Vegas is the first place that comes to mind when someone mentions Nevada, and it’s almost impossible not to be drawn to its splendid lights. Sin City is so spectacular that it’s easy to forget that this state has many other amazing cities in store—including these three.

Reno

Reno is Nevada’s second most popular city, right after Vegas, and for a good reason. It’s also best known for being home to countless casinos, but most people decide to visit it because it’s a starting point to some of Nevada’s most beautiful natural wonders including the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe.

Carson City

Carson City may not be Nevada’s biggest or most touristy city, but that’s not stopping it from being the capital of this state. In addition to being home to several of Nevada’s most significant museums, it also offers easy access to Lake Tahoe.

View this post on Instagram

Have you been to Lake Tahoe? This is the secret cove, one of the most beautiful and isolated beaches on the Lake. It’s a short little hike (0.5 miles) but well worth it.. . Here are some tips when visiting Secret Cove… . 1) Go at Sunrise or Sunrise (I went at 8am and had the beach to MYSELF until almost 10) . 2) Best place to park? Google maps Secret Cove, once you get there, park on the side of the road (totally legal), Then look for the wooden sign on the side of the road that says TRAIL. You will see some steps right next to it. Go down the stairs and follow the trail down to the lake, there are many trails, but don’t worry they all go to the same place! . 3) I know you are going to the “Beach” but dress like you are going on a hike (with your bathing suit underneath of course). Wear sneakers! . If you plan on traveling to Lake Tahoe In the near future, save this post! This place is an absolute MUST! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #laketahoelife #laketahoeofficial #secretcove #sandharbor #laketahoe #covidtravel #travel2020 #bucketlist #bucketlistadventures #bucketlistideas #bucketlisttravel #travelphotography #traveltheworld🌍 #travelwhileyoucan #wheretonext #travelinfluencer #travelinfluencers #traveltipsandtricks #traveltips #travelguide #travelblogger #travelblog #travelbloggerlife #travelgram #adventurejunkie #girlswhotravelsolo #girlswhotraveltheworld #igtravelworld #igtraveller #travel_capture

Virginia City

One of Nevada’s most charming little towns is located just outside of Reno. It originated as a boomtown during the 1860s gold rush and it’s now best known for its retro feel. Make sure to visit one of its charming museums and take a ride on a trolley or a horse-drawn carriage during your visit.
