Japan has a complex relationship with tattoos because they are associated with the mafia. That being said, tattoos are strictly forbidden in most onsens, but people with smaller tattoos can cover them with a bandage and should not have trouble getting in.

]]>One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Tanzania is located just north of Moshi, close to the entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park. Materuni waterfall is over 400 feet tall and quite impressive. The trail is about 30 minutes and passes through local villages including banana and coffee plantations.

Later on, if you are looking for a relaxing day, Kikuletwa Hot Springs is just for you. Located about an hour and a half from Moshi, this crystal clear spring is lined with acacia and fig trees. Although the water isn’t extremely hot, it has a comfortable warm temperature and is a great, peaceful place to relax.

]]>The hot springs have been turned into a private spa, and when you go there are lots of tubs to choose from that are filled with the natural spring water. There are a lot of different options that the spa offers, but some of them are actually really reasonable in price.
Beyond the hot springs, you can enjoy access to the French Broad River and go rafting and kayaking as well! Hot Springs is also a site on the Appalachian Trail, so there are hiking trails that you can enjoy also. The closest big city to Hot Springs is Asheville, which is just 30 miles away. Asheville is the perfect place to go for amazing food, music, small batch beer, and overall cultural activities.
It’s a forage to table tour at a Garden of Eden with over 300 wild edibles. During a guided tour you get to gather wild mushrooms, edible plants and other good stuff 
Then their chefs will cook your findings and turn them into delicious meals. Ohhh yeah! How neat is this?!? I’m looking forward to my next visit to Asheville
