Egilsstaðir is the place to stay if you want to be out in nature. As a small town out in the fjords, there are fewer available hotels but the beautiful views are worth it. This is a great town for those who like to leave urban life behind.

While Sognefjord is like the father of fjords, Hardangerfjord is like the little sister. The fjord is over 179 meters long and it is framed with a vast amount of Norwegian flora and fauna. Everywhere you look there are glaciers floating and waterfalls cascading into the fjord. A boat tour through the fjord is a must to see all of its beauty.
If you’re a photographer, then all of these fjords will be appealing, but Aurlandsfjord holds a special place. The area has numerous hiking trails, and built-in viewpoints for visitors to take pictures from. It’s considered to be one of the most beautiful and the easiest to photograph.
