Are you looking to enjoy a well-earned vacation with your family? In that case, you’ll want to be sure to spend quality time with your significant other while also keeping your kids entertained. Here are some tips to help you pick the right family-friendly hotel for a vacation that everyone can enjoy.

Kids’ Club

Not only do you want your kids to enjoy themselves, but as parents, you and your partner probably want to enjoy some alone time. This is where the kids’ club comes in. In addition to relieving you of babysitting duties, kids’ clubs such as those at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes will be sure to provide your kids with an array of activities and programs to keep them entertained throughout the vacation.

Multiple Rooms And Bathrooms

When you’re a larger family, there’s a higher chance that everyone could get on each other’s nerves. Of course, there’s also the possibility of more than one person wanting to use the bathroom or shower at once. In order to limit arguments, choose a suite with multiple rooms and bathrooms.

Check Out The Pool

If you’re going on a summer vacation, there’s a large chance that swimming is on the agenda. Make sure to pick a place with a large pool and perhaps a kids’ pool with some slides and a play area that will thrill your kids in the process.

Florida is known for its year-round swimming weather and great theme parks, making it a perfect vacation spot at any time of year. One fun activity that’s great for the whole family in a place with such a warm climate is waterparks. Luckily, Florida has some great ones to choose from. So here are a few of the best waterparks around the state.

Adventure Island

Run by Seaworld and right by Tampa, Adventure island has lots of awesome slides and rides. On the four-lane Riptide slide, you can even race your friends or family down to the bottom. This park is closed in the winter, but that still leaves you seven months out of the year to check out their VR snorkeling and much more.

LEGOLAND Water Park

At the huge LEGOLAND Florida resort, the waterpark is one of the main attractions with lots of Lego-themed rides and slides. That makes it especially good for younger kids, who can play in the interactive play area or, if they’re a little older, build their own raft to ride on.

Blizzard Beach

Run by Walt Disney World in Bay Lake near Orlando, this waterpark has a VERY unique (and possibly counterintuitive) theme: ski lodge! You can rent a private “polar patio” (much like a private lodge) and go down one of the biggest body slides in the world, Summit Plummet.

One of the best traditions in October is pumpkin picking. If you live in America, it’s not unlikely that you have fond memories of going with your parents or class to a pumpkin patch and picking out your own pumpkin to carve. Whether you want a fun fall activity for yourself, your friends, or to pass on to your own kids, going back to the pumpkin patch is a great option. If you live in the Midwest, here are some options!

The Great Pumpkin Patch, Arthur, IL

Great is exactly what this pumpkin patch is, with hundreds of varieties of squashes and gourds originating from all over the world growing there. Grown from a 19th-century homestead, the Great Pumpkin Patch has lots of things to pick along with mazes, gardens, and a shop.

Leeds Farm, Ostrander, OH

Leeds farm is great for the whole family, with fun activities like zip lines, slides, and hayrides for the kids and lots of pumpkin varieties for the adults (especially those with an interest in agriculture).

Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, Gretna, NB

With its vast 400 acres and extremely cheap pumpkin price, Vala’s Pumpkin Patch is perfect for a day of exploration and slow, careful pumpkin picking across its expanse. They’ve also got, interestingly, pig races to watch and delicious caramel apples to enjoy.
