Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is famous for the heist that took place in 1990 and saw several of its most prized pieces, including Johannes Vermeer’s painting The Concert, stolen. While the stolen artworks were never recovered, the museum still has plenty to offer to its visitors, including paintings and sculptures from famous artists, as well as tapestries and decorative arts.

Museum of Fine Art

It is the 20th largest art museum in the world and houses more than 450,000 artworks, including one of the most comprehensive collections of American art in the world. Some of the highlights include John Singleton Copley’s “Watson and the Shark,” Thomas Sully’s “The Passage of the Delaware,” and Rembrandt’s “The Artist in His Studio.”

Most people visiting Boston are there to explore its history and check out the Red Sox’s iconic Fenway Park, but one thing about this city that makes it truly astonishing is its skyline. Its spectacular skyscrapers are truly one of a kind, and here are some of the most impressive ones.

John Hancock Tower

John Hancock Tower has been one of the symbols of Boston since it opened its doors in 1976. For almost half a century, it’s been standing tall at 790 foot and it still holds the record as the tallest high-rise in Boston and all of New England.

Prudential Tower

Known by its nickname The Pru, this building was the tallest building in New England when it was built in 1964. It fell to second place after the Hancock broke its record, but it’s still one of Boston’s most impressive skyscrapers. One of its most popular attractions is the observation deck The Skywalk, located on the building’s 50th floor.

111 Huntington Avenue

This building that’s located inside the Prudential Center complex won’t take your breath away with its height, but with its unique design. It earned the nickname R2-D2 Building because its distinctive top is incredibly reminiscent of the iconic Star Wars droid.

Boston is best known for its rich history and baseball scene, and it’s one of the North American cities everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime. After exploring Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, and Boston Harbor, you should head to one of the city’s most charming spots—Acorn Street.

Hailed as America’s most photographed street, Acorn Street is safely tucked away in the heart of Beacon Hill, one of the most important historical neighborhoods in all of Boston. It’s been described as one of the most prestigious addresses in this area, and it’s not difficult to see how it earned that title.

Acorn Street was once home to the 19th-century artisans and tradespeople, and it maintained much of its original feel even two centuries later. It has serious New England vibes thanks to its red brick sidewalks, cobblestone lanes, and multi-level townhouses with vintage doors and windows, which turned it into a major tourist attraction.

A walk down Acorn Street will make you feel like a local, but it’s important to remember that you aren’t one and that there are people who actually live here. That’s why it’s important to respect their privacy and stay as thoughtful and quiet as possible during your visit so you wouldn’t disturb their peace.

If you’re a huge flower lover and enjoy discovering beautiful secret gardens in each new city you visit, Boston is just a place for you. Kelleher Rose Garden is one of the city’s best-hidden secrets and it will make you feel like you stepped into a fairy tale world.

This rose garden is located in the Back Bay Fens, just across the street from the Museum of Fine Arts. It’s also situated in close proximity to Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox, which is another reason why it became so popular with the tourists.

Kelleher Rose Garden was established in 1930, and a noted Boston landscape architect was in charge of designing it. The marble sculpture El Desconsol is a focal point of the garden, and it was a gift from Boston’s sister city of Barcelona.
