Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is famous for the heist that took place in 1990 and saw several of its most prized pieces, including Johannes Vermeer’s painting The Concert, stolen. @rhodeisland_igers This rose garden is located in the Back Bay Fens, just across the street from the Museum of Fine Arts. It’s also situated in close proximity to Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox, which is another reason why it became so popular with the tourists.
Kelleher Rose Garden was established in 1930, and a noted Boston landscape architect was in charge of designing it. The marble sculpture El Desconsol is a focal point of the garden, and it was a gift from Boston’s sister city of Barcelona.
